May 11, 2015Our 5th annual Docklands Volunteer Day took place last Friday and it was our most successful to date!
The objective for the day was to create a greater sense of community amongst local businesses, employees and residents. On the day, volunteers were tasked with projects including; removing graffiti, painting walls and cleaning glass. The projects chosen proved to be quite the task but with over 100 volunteers, we were up to the job. The walls were painted and the hand rail was stained on both sides of the McMahon Bridge, flotsam was collected from both the Grand Canal Basin and Royal Canal at Spencer Dock, litter and weeds were removed from Linear Park and there was a few other little bits and pieces done along the way.
We would like to thank all of the local businesses and volunteers who took part in the day, you made it our biggest volunteering event to date!
