Yahoo have invested $12 million expanding offices in Dublin’s Docklands. The company which has been in the Docklands since 2003 are also considering acquiring a Data Centre, while they currently lease same.
An Taoiseach Enda Kenny Attended the opening of Yahoo’s new offices on the 25th March 2015.
“Mr Kenny said that the conditions that led Yahoo to expand in Ireland were the country’s corporate tax rate, stability and talent pool”
Pat Scully, the Company’s head of European Operations stated that
“Yahoo chose the north docklands ahead of the South docklands because of the quality of the building and the ease of access for employees.”
Ken Goldman, Yahoo’s EMEA Managing Director said
“We are fundamentally here because of the talent pool here, the stability of the country, the fact that it is part of the EU, and the overall sense of excitement and optimism that exists in the country”
